The end of an era

In the heart Warrington, a group of retail workers faced an unexpected twist in their lives. After years of dedicated service at a large outdoor retail chain store, they were let go during a store closing. The news was a blow, but it also sparked something else: a fierce determination to create something of their own.

The team had years of retail experience and knowledge of the outdoors. Outside of work, they reveled in the beauty of their community and loved spending weekends hiking the nearby trails and exploring the wilderness.

Inspired by their love for the outdoors and their deep connection to the area, they decided to open their own store. They envisioned a place that not only offered carefully selected gear but also reflected their commitment to the community and the natural world they cherished. With a modest loan, a lot of hard work, and a shared vision, they want to transform a vacant storefront into Wild Appalachian Supply & Co., a unique location offering courses, consignment and outdoor gear.

We envision brining the store to life with an inviting, nature-inspired decor. A place where you can take a class or plan your next adventure. There will be rentals for the outdoor curious so that you don’t need to make a large investment to try an outdoor adventure. We want to start a series of workshops on sustainable living and outdoor skills, sharing our expertise with customers and fostering a sense of community.

We want Wild Appalachian Supply & Co. to became more than just a store; we want it to be a community of people who enjoy the great outdoors. We want to turn an unexpected setback into a thriving hub for for our community.
